Pair of 19th-century Renaissance Revival-style chairs made by R. J. Horner & Co. of New York. Carved solid oak frames are topped with griffin heads on the seat posts and an ornately carved skirt on the back. Seats and front cushions are upholstered in Wipelli International leather and secured with brass nailheads. The back is upholstered in Lewis & Sheron ikat fabric. Straight square legs sit on castors in front. Hand-refinished and upholstered by Mission Avenue Studio. Seat, 19"H.
